EBENTO Showcased Its Innovative One-Stop-Shop Platform at the RE-SKIN Community Event
24 June , 2025
On June 5th, 2025, EBENTO took part in the RE-SKIN Community Event held in Brussels, Belgium, presenting its Integrated One-Stop-Shop Platform—an innovative solution designed to transform the way energy renovations are planned and delivered across Europe.
The event, hosted at the Press Club Brussels Europe and streamed online, brought together around 20 participants, including experts in energy efficiency, sustainable construction, and EU-funded renovation projects. Organized by the RE-SKIN project, coordinated by Politecnico di Milano, and supported by the REVOLVE partnership, the event aimed to highlight forward-looking strategies to improve energy efficiency in buildings, with a particular focus on addressing heatwaves and cold homes.
EBENTO was one of five leading EU-funded projects invited to present practical solutions that help households adapt to climate extremes. During the event, EBENTO introduced its platform, designed specifically for public institutions and cooperatives, which simplifies Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) through a comprehensive suite of tools that streamline the management of building renovations. The platform also fosters transparency in energy-related decisions and empowers citizen participation, addressing both the technical and social dimensions of Europe’s renovation wave.
The event served as a valuable forum for sharing knowledge and building connections. One of the key messages that emerged was the critical role of innovation in improving energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact. The projects showcased how digital tools, advanced materials, and optimized processes are reshaping the renovation landscape. Another major takeaway was the importance of citizen engagement; several initiatives, including EBENTO, demonstrated how participatory approaches lead to higher community acceptance and better outcomes.
In addition, the event stressed the need for scalability and alignment with EU-wide policies, highlighting how integrated funding mechanisms and supportive regulatory frameworks can accelerate the spread of renovation initiatives. Collaboration across sectors—academia, public authorities, private industry, and civil society—was identified as a key factor in speeding up progress and ensuring quality results. Finally, the theme of equity and resilience resonated strongly throughout the event. Participants emphasized that sustainable renovation must be inclusive, prioritizing vulnerable communities and ensuring fair access to healthier living environments.
EBENTO’s participation reinforced its commitment to advancing sustainable and inclusive renovation practices that leave no one behind, contributing to a growing community of innovators dedicated to shaping Europe’s energy future.
