EBENTO at the Built4People Clustering Event: Efficient, Sustainable, and Inclusive Energy Use
November 22, 2024
On November 19, EBENTO participated in the Built4People Clustering Event in Brussels. Centered on the theme of “Efficient, Sustainable, and Inclusive Energy Use,” the workshop aimed to foster knowledge exchange among EU projects focused on creating a people-centric built environment.
Representatives of the 30 projects funded as part of a Built4People Co-programmed Public-Private Partnership gathered at CINEA in Belgium, for a special clustering event organised by NebulaB4P project. The funding for these projects sits under the “Efficient, sustainable and inclusive energy use” part of the Horizon Europe Work Programmes for Climate, Energy and Mobility.
Attendees then took part in breakout sessions on the following topics:
– Digital solutions for building operations.
– Inclusive and resilient environments.
– Renovation for low-emission buildings.
In the digital tools sub-cluster, where EBENTO presented its work, projects discussed shared challenges such as effectively presenting data to end users and overcoming administrative barriers. While EBENTO focuses on engaging all stakeholders involved in building renovation, other projects brought unique perspectives, including specialization in SMEs, decarbonization, and ESCOs.
As part of the event, EBENTO showcased its progress and addressed key challenges encountered in its mission to enhance energy efficiency. The presentation emphasized the role of the OSS (One-Stop-Shop Platform) solutions developed for energy rehabilitation. These solutions are designed to support a diverse range of users, including building residents, design and installation professionals, and public sector workers.
The event highlighted the immense value of collaboration across the network of projects. By sharing success stories and addressing common obstacles, participants were able to identify synergies and solutions that benefit the broader effort toward sustainable energy use.
