EBENTO Launches its Renovation Decision Support Module for Energy-Efficient Buildings

October 29, 2024

The EBENTO project has successfully finalized the development of its Renovation Decision Support (DSS4Ren) simulation module, a key component of the EBENTO One-Stop-Shop. DSS4Ren is designed to assess a building’s energy performance both in its initial state and after implementing various renovation scenarios, offering essential insights for optimizing energy efficiency.

Built with advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and a whole-building energy simulation program, DSS4Ren calculates key energy and comfort Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), enabling data-driven renovation planning.

The DSS4Ren interface prioritizes both functionality and ease of use. When users select a project—such as the Valencia pilot—they can easily navigate sections like “Project,” “Baseline,” and “Renovation,” allowing for a seamless exploration of project data. Functional buttons on the right side, including “Search,” “Properties,” “Element Focus,” and “Camera Reset,” enhance visualization and interaction with building elements, creating an intuitive user experience.

This achievement marks a significant milestone in EBENTO’s mission to drive energy-efficient renovations with state-of-the-art digital tools. As EBENTO continues to innovate, it remains committed to transforming the future of building renovations.
