EBENTO Kicks Off Summer at PED School in Graz

14 July 2024

EBENTO inaugurated the summer by participating in the 3rd Summer School on Positive Energy Districts (PEDs) in Graz, Austria. Held from July 8 to 12, the event brought together experts and students to expand their knowledge on various energy-related topics, while also introducing them to the EBENTO project.

Participants delved into business models, Energy Performance Contracts, legal frameworks, and more related with EBENTO. The connection between the EBENTO project and other initiatives demonstrated the replicability and broader impact of these efforts.

The summer school was part of ANNEX 83 and the EXCESS EU project, aiming to introduce the work on EXCESS to different partners. It sought to enhance understanding of Positive Energy Districts, energy resilience, energy flexibility, and energy communities. A highlight of the agenda was the economic aspect of PEDs, where Joanneum Research presented a cost-optimal analysis method and approach.
